The early Adventist movement paralleled the movement God began in the book of Acts in many vital ways. Is that still the case today? Or have things changed? If so, what has shifted in our understanding, and how is that affecting our churches in North America?

Acts in Action is a series of training Sabbaths designed to answer those questions and show you how to help your church become a thriving Seventh-day Adventist fellowship reaching today’s world for Christ.

Join Pastor Marshall McKenzie, Church Growth Director for the Kentucky Tennessee Conference, and his wife, Rosemary, as they put church growth under a microscope.

Sabbath, April 22 – Acts in Action, Part 1: THE WHY?

Church Service – THE LOCAL CHURCH AND ITS ENDTIME VALUE

God has a church! Whether your congregation is five years old or a hundred years old, it still has value. This session will underscore this biblical reality and help you understand why your congregation matters to God.

Sabbath Afternoon Session 1 – AN HONEST LOOK AT THE LOCAL CHURCH OF TODAY

Real church growth can begin only when your congregation starts with honest self-evaluation. The truth sometimes hurts, but it must be heard. The data doesn’t lie. In this session, you’ll discover some of the challenges your local church faces in the 21st century.

Sabbath Afternoon Session 2 – GETTING THE LOCAL CHURCH BACK TO ACTS

The Book of Acts isn’t some wonderful story that we should just refer to occasionally. This session will explore the Acts church growth model and why it has been God’s model of successful church growth for every generation since Jesus established this powerful movement.

Pastor Marshall McKenzie, Church Growth Director for the Kentucky Tennessee Conference

“In reviewing our past history, having traveled over every step of advance to our present standing, I can say, Praise God! As I see what the Lord has wrought, I am filled with astonishment, and with confidence in Christ as leader. We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history.”

Ellen White, Life Sketches, p. 196.
